About the press
The Old Stile Press is a fine press run by Nicolas and Frances McDowall, based at Much Marcle near Ledbury, Herefordshire, England. It designs, hand-prints and publishes books in editions of roughly 100 to 250 copies, working in collaboration with artists and printmakers, often pairing important texts with suites of wood engravings. Nicolas McDowall died in 2021 and Frances McDowall continues the press.
